Family research as of September 2013
Lars Theodore Holter was b​orn March 10, 1840 at Mog​gen Veggli,
Buskerud, ​Norway 
to Johan Alexander Holter and Joran Larsdatter. He was baptized on April 20, 
1840.  



Lars married Liv (Live, Liva) Gu​ndersdatter (Liv born April 21, 1849, d 
February 4, 1926) on January 30, 18​69 at Moggen Veggli, Buskerud, Norway. 



The couple had 9 children: Alexander, Joran, Bergit, Gunder, Elling Johan, 
Franz L., Ernst George, Agnes Lillian, Bernard Julius.



The family emigr​ated in the spring of 1886 to America, ​settling near
Oak Park​, 
MN. Found on the passenger list of the ship "Sarmatian" with family. Left 
Liverpool, England or Londonderry, Ireland and arrived at Quebec, Canada on 
June 28, 1886. Lars T Holter 46, Live 36, Alex 16, Jorand 11, Bengert (female) 
9, Gunder 4, Elline 2. 



Found in the 1895 - 1910 censuses living at Oak Park, Marshall, MN: 

1895: Lars Holter 55. 

1900: Lars Holter 60, Live Holter 51, Alexander Holter 30, Elling Holter 16, 
Franz Holter 12, George Holter 10, Agnes Holter 7, Bernard Holter 4, Berget 
Gunderson 84 (Liv's mother). 

1905: Lars Holter 65. 

1910: Lars Holter 70, Live Holter 60, Elling J Holter Jr. 26, France S T Holter 
23, E George Holter 20, Agnes L Holter 17, Berhard J Holter 14, Thilda A Holter 
28, Lionel O Holter 3, Beatrice A Holter 0[6/12]. 



Found in the 1920 census at Newburgh, Steele, North Dakota, retired farmer: 
Lars T Holter 79, Live Holter 70, Carl Christensen 38. 



Lars Theodore Holter died February 7, 1925​ at Oslo, Marshall, Minnesota and
is 
probably buried there although I haven't located the family's burial sites. 

Additional Comments:
Liv's parents, Gunder & Bergit Gundersen also emigrated to and died at Oslo, 
Marshall, Minnesota.
