Mr. Keiver received the news by wire and details are lacking. The father left Wednesday to look after the remains which will probably be taken here for interment. John Keiver was raised here and will be remembered by nearly everybody. He was 16 years of age. He left here about two years ago at the first call for volunteers in the Spanish- American war and enlisted in the army for one year. His company was sent to the Phillippines, where it dod excellent duty in battle and garrison. After serving his term, he received an honorable discharge and returned to this country. He spent last winter in the lumber woods near Hibbings, Minn., but left early last spring to accept a position at mining near Butte, where he met his death. Hallock Enterprise.
