Christian Hansen, aged 72 years, 9 months. Mr. Hansen was a native of Denmark. In 1875, the year after his marriage to Margaret Sorenson, the wife who survives him, he came to America, first locating on a place near Biscay which he farmed with his brother, the late H. C. Hansen, for three years, then buying an 80 acre farm of his own six miles south of Hutchinson where he lived for about fifteen years and until moving to a place a mile northeast of the city which was his home until moving to the Glen-st. home about three years ago. He leaves besides his wife six children, three sons: Hans C. Hansen, a chiropractic student at Davenport, Iowa, Mrs. M. C. Jorgenson of Sumter township, Harry T. and Arndt Hansen of Sidney, Mont, Mrs. Nels Lund of Mohall, N. D., and Susie Hansen living at home. They mourn the loss of a kind an devoted father who was respected and esteemed by many friends as a good neighbor and useful citizen. The funeral was conducted from the Danish Lutheran church, last Tuesday at one p. m. by the pastor, Rev. T. P. Beck, interment being in the city cemetery. The children were all present at the funeral excepting Harry Hansen and Mrs. Nels Lund. The relatives desire to express their deep appreciation of the sympathy and many kindnesses extended them by friends during their bereavement. Hutchinson Leader Issue: 30 Jan 1914 Page: 6
