Jorgenson 82 Mesa Arz a former Hutchinson optometrist here May 2 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. He died April 26 at Mesa following a short illness. The Rev E. David Natwick officiated. Pallbearers were Lowell Wright, Lloyd Torgomsen, Merlyn Danielson, Kenneth Jensen, Delfred Prieve and Lloyd Broderus. Clarence Jorgenson was born Feb. 24, 1902 in Hutchinson the son of Jorgan and Mary (Hagelin) Jorgenson. His father had emigrated from Denmark. Clarence Jorgenson graduated from Hutchinson High School and from Northwestern School of Optometry. A resident of Hutchinson since 1935 he also had lived at Warren and Gaylord. He had been a member first of Faith Lutheran and currently of Christ the King. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club. He married in 1926 to Gladys Nelson who preceded him in death in 1971. He then married Hilda Wolff. Seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother Hans Jorgenson. Interment was in Oakland Cemetery.
