Deceased was born in Ohio in 1826 and came to Minnesota in 1868. He went through the civil war from beginning to the finish, and was a prisoner three months in Libby prison. He was the oldest resident in Kingston township. He leaves a wife, nine children, two sisters and three brothers to mourn his demise. The funeral was held from the late home of the deceased Sunday aft, Rev Radcliffe of the ME church, officiating. Interment made in the Talbot Cem. From the Kimball Kodak. Deceased lived the life of a hermit and was considered eccentric and peculiar in her habits and manner of dress. Her husband was killed in the civil war. The funeral took place Tuesday, Rev Case officiating, and interment took place in the local cemetery. The family continued to reside in Meeker County till its removal west. He was a native of Indiana and was...survived by the wife and one daughter, Mrs Charlotte Whipple, both residents of Anacortes, and by one son, Roy Russell, Park Rapids, MN.
