FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Denise Rancour Submitted: August 2005 ========================================================================= ROBERT (BUD) JONES, 79, of Onamia, died Sunday, May 29, 2005, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Onamia. Bud is survived by his wife Betty of Onamia; son Jeremy Jones of Little Canada; daughters Roxanne Biniek, Becky (Ben) Johnson and Pam (Jimmy) Covington, all of Onamia; grandchildren Chad, Michelle, Mandy, Derek and Dusty; great-grandchild Rayna; and many nieces and nephews, cousins and psuedo relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents Pete and Emma (Stokke) Jones; brothers Bill, Orlo, Earl, Alan, Delbert and Edwin; son Brad; and grandson Travi Jones. Bud Jones was born on March 8, 1926, in Onamia, to the late Pete and Emma (Stokke) Jones. He was raised on the family farm and attended school in Onamia. Bud enlisted in the United States Army on Nov. 29, 1944, and was honorably discharged on Nov. 15, 1946. In 1954 he married Betty Hart in Onamia. The couple moved to the metro area where Bud worked various jobs before returning to Onamia where he worked for Land O' Lakes as a field tester. Bud had a strong sense of family and was always there to lend support to his family and friends when ever they needed him. He was known as a favorite relative by all. Bud enjoyed fishing, baseball, playing cards and going to the casino. He loved spending time with family and friends.
