FileFormatted by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Tina Nieken ========================================================================= Pine Tree Cemetery Located in Granite Township, Morrison County, Minnesota (Section 10, SE corner) From Highway 27, turn South on County Road 41 (also called 330th Avenue) about 1/2 mile on West side of road. Fire #19311. Transcribed by Tina Nieken (nieken@brainerd.net) on April 29, 2001. This cemetery is not affiliated with any church. It was once used primarily for the area‘s "non-Catholic or Lutheran" persons who had no permanent church building or cemetery. The church services were held in various homes until Lakeview Community Church was built in Richardson Township, then many of these families attended there. Due to it's lack of affiliation, it was largely unmaintained when it was unused. About 30 years ago the township hired someone and it's been well maintained since and has several more recent burials. There are several unmarked graves here, some marked only with wooden crosses, one marble slab with no writing, one marked only with a veteran star and one marked with a black wrought iron cross. Some of the unmarked graves have cement outlines. There are 2 with missing letters, and no other unreadable stones. I have grouped these by last name in order by rows; not necessarily in alphabetical order. Some are kept together because of double headstones, etc. I also have digital pictures of many of these stones and can easily obtain any that I don't have.
