He was ill for several years. Mr. Habas was born in Austria May 12, 1866 and came to the U.S. in about 1883. He resided in Penn. and after his marriage came to Morrison county in 1891. Mrs. Habas died several years ago and his marriage to Mrs. Hattie Januszewski took place Jan. 16, 1926. Surviving are Mrs. Habas and one daughter, Miss Susan Habas of Little Falls. Three stepsons, Lawrence Janski, Little Falls, Mike of Minneapolis and Alfred at home. Mrs. C. H. Kline (Klein) {nee Lucy Januszewski} and Sister Bernadette (Burnadette) {nee Maggie Januszewski} in California; Mrs. William Nelson {nee Marie Januszewski}, Barber, Idaho and Mrs. R. Sarlo {nee Emily Januszewski}, Memphis, Tenn. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Stanislaus church in Bowlus, Father Blakla officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery. Additional Comments: John Habas is my step-grandfather. The first Mrs. Habas killed herself.
