He had been in bad health for about two months and had been confined to his home for the past month, death being due to quick consumption. The deceased was 48 years of age. He was born in the province of Silesia, Germany, September 22, 1865, and came to Minnesota in 1876, locating at North Prairie in this county. In 1883 he moved to this city, where he was married to Miss Mary Miller in 1891. He was an attorney at law and was the only Polish lawyer in Minnesota. He leaves to morn his loss a wife, mother, nine children, five sisters, and three brothers. His mother is Mrs. Joseph Trettel of North Prairie. The children are Esther, Otto, Edward, Mark, Robert, Frederic, Olivia, Rose and George. The sisters are Mrs. John Ratka of Gilman, Minnesota, Sister M. Eustachia of Bismarck, North Dakota, who was with him at the time of his death, Mrs. Martin Wiener of Padua, Minnesota, Miss Margaret Trettel of Harlem, Montana, and Mrs. Martha Akers of Iowa City, Iowa. Richard and Frank Trettel of North Prairie and Joseph Trettel of Little Falls are the brothers. The funeral will be held at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon from the Sacred Heart church.
