Cloquet, Minn He was a former Austin resident. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; four daughters and son -in-law, Beverly and Richard Bartey, Two Harbors, Minn.;Maxine and Kent Hoechers, Wilmar, Minn.; Joan and Joseph Saiko Jr.,St. Paul, Minn.; Monica and Raymond Gibson Jr. Apple Valley, Cal.; a stepson and his wife Theodore and Deborah Brodin, San Jose, Cal.; his step mother, Mrs. Ray (Ruth) Norton, Duluth; two brothers, Walter Hackensmith, Wrenshall, Minn Wesley Hackensmith, Superior, Wis, a sister Mrs. Betty Crandall, Duluth; a sister-in-law, Jana Hackensmith, Cromwell, Minn.;16 grandchildren.;10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Wrenshall.
