Guys BAKKER

   Guys Bakker was born May 8, 1929 to Evert and Nellie (DeKam) Bakker on 

a farm near Chandler, MN, Murray County. He was baptized and confirmed in 

the Christian faith and attended country school. As a young man Guys 

farmed with his family in the Chanarambie Valley west of Chandler.

   On July 16, 1971 Guys married Irene Clark at the Chandler Reformed 

Church Parsonage in Chandler. They made their home on a farm near 

Chandler

and late moved to a farm near Gavin, MN in the mid 1970's where he 

continued to farm until 1982 when he retired to Tracy, MN.

   In September of 2005 Guys became a resident of the Prairie View 

Healthcare Center in Tracy, where he died October 5, 2005 at the age of 

76.

   Guys is survived by his wife, Irenen of Tracy, MN; six sons, Jerry 

Clark of Marshall, MN, Lonnie (Vicki) Clark of Chandler, MN, Mike (Lynn)

Clark of Marshall, MN, Danny (Laurie) Clark of Ruthton, MN, Brian Bakker 

of Tracy, MN and Jeff Bakker of Marshall, MN; six daughters, Abby, Holly, 

Stephanie, Suzanne and Cheri Lyn Bakker all of Tracy, MN and Betsy Bakker 

of Marshall, MN; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three 

brothers, Tony (Janet) Bakker of Modesto, CA, Marvin (Loretta) Bakker of

Chandler, MN, John (Rosalie) Bakker of Corsica, SD; four sisters, 

Johcenna 

Vander Steen of Luverne, MN, Bertha (Leonard) Vant Hof of Edgerton, MN,

Nellie Vos of Slayton, MN and Goldie (Willis) Van Roekel of Corsica, SD;

many brother and sister-in-laws, several aunts, nieces, nephews and 

cousins.

   His parents and one brother, Peter Bakker, many aunts and uncles and

two brother-in-laws preceded him in death.
