FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: November 2004 ========================================================================= "PEARCE BRAMEL RITES HELD AT DUNDEE CHURCH" Funeral services for Pearce Bramel of Dundee, whose death from coronary thrombosis occurred late Thursday afternoon, were held in the First Lutheran Church in Dundee on Saturday at two o'clock, with the Rev. Sherman Bohn officiating. Organists were Mrs. Raymond Nelson and Mrs. Donald Tabbert. Ronald Tabbert was the soloist. Interment was in the Lutheran cemetery, with the Klasse Funeral Home of Westbrook in charge. Casket bearers were Clifford Johnson, Ben Johnson, Ray Olson, Raymond Nelson, Walter Strashein of Revillo, So. Dak., and Floyd Prior of Slayton. Pearce Calvert Bramel, son of Abren Bramel and Alice Calvert Bramel, was born at Maysville, Kentucky on April 30, 1887. His early life was spend on a Kentucky farm. At the age of twenty, he came to Odebolt, Iowa, and worked on a Cook farm. In 1911, he came to Minnesota, and worked on the Wavertree Ranch. Since 1929, he has farmed the M.J. Dickson farm east of Dundee. He was married to Mary Alice Duncan on November 1, 1937. To them two sons were born, the first dying in early infancy. The second, Terry, lives on the Dickson farm from which Mr. and Mrs. Bramel retired in 1960. There are two grandsons. Surviving also, besides his wife, son and grandsons, are one brother, David, of Stamping Ground, Kentucky; and two sisters: Mrs. Roy Blackburn (Kathryn) of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Mrs. James McHatton (Ella) of Aberdeen, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one half- brother, and three half-sisters. Mrs. Bramel was a member of the Lutheran Church, and a good worker in its parish. He was known for his kindess and his courtesy to everyone. "
