Busch, the son of Leonard and Mathilda Dierks Busch, was born on June 11, 1918 in Fulda, MN. He grew up on the family farm in rural Fulda and attended St. Paul?s Lutheran School and the Fulda High School. Clarence was united in marriage to Johanna Bartels on April 15, 1941 at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Trosky, MN. After their marriage they farmed in rural Windom, MN and in 1942 they moved to farm near Fulda. In 1949 they purchased the family farm where they lived until their retirement in 1981. After their retirement they moved into Fulda in January 1982. Clarence passed away at the Our House Hospice Home in Slayton, MN on April 22, 2005 at the age of 86. He was a member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church Fulda, MN where he served as an elder, trustee, on the school board, finance and was president and treasurer of the men?s club. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and being with his family. Survivors include his wife, Johanna; five daughters and their spouses, Carolyn and Bob Boomgarden of Windom, MN, Leanne and Ron Ommen of Jackson, WY, Beverly and Jim Clark of Mankato, MN, Lorna and Mark Hager of Mankato, MN and Gaylene and Paul Reith of Fulda, MN; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters , Elsie Meier of Fulda, MN and Esther Bahn of Jasper, MN and one brother, Kenneth Busch and his wife, Verna of Luverne, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Ida Riemer, Julia Koopman, Millie Fillman and Martha Gunderman and one brother, George Busch. Funeral services were held at St. Paul?s Lutheran Church at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 26, 2005 with the Rev. Dwayne Schroeder officiating. The organist was Irene Wahl. The soloist was A.W. Koopman. The pallbearers were his grandsons, Douglas Boomgarden, David Boomgarden, Joel Boomgarden, Christopher Hager, Michael Reith and Jeremy Hove. Interment at Prairie Hill Cemetery, Fulda, MN.
