FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: January 2005 ========================================================================= Thomas Patrick Clark was born on June 21, 1944 at Bryant, SD to Thomas and Mildred Heath Clark. In 1950, the family moved to the Sioux Falls, SD area and Tom attended country school. He graduated from Brandon Valley High School in 1963 and then attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. He enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserves in 1962, and later into the U.S. Army. He and Margie Hassebroek were married on December 30, 1967 at the First Presbyterian Church in Fulda, MN. After his discharge August 1970, Tom returned to Sioux Falls where he worked at Ronning Enterprizes. Tom attended night classes at Augustana College and earned a degree in aviation while continuing to work at Ronning's. In 1984 they moved to an acreage south of Slayton where Tom farmed. Due to failing health, Tom entered the Minnesota Veteran's Home in Luverne in October 1994 and passed away there on January 27, 2005 at the age of 60 years. Tom was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Fulda and the Murray County Lodge. He enjoyed working on cars, hunting, fishing, outdoor activities and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Margie Clark of Slayton; two children: Brian Clark of Lake Shetek, MN and Jennifer and her fiancé, Todd Neilson of Slayton; one granddaughter, Brooke Neilson; a brother, Jim Clark of Sherman, SD; his mother-in-law, Tena Hassebroek of Fulda, MN, two nephews, Tony Hassebroek and Michael Clark; and a niece, Julie Clark. His parents precede him in death. Funeral services wereb held on Monday, January 31, 2005 at 1:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Fulda with the Rev. Michael Foster officiating. The pallbearers were Todd Neilson, Chad Bonnstetter, Tony Hassebroek, Michael Clark, Dick Heath and Gary Heath. Interment is at Slayton Memorial Gardens, Slayton, MN.
