Coffitt Passes Away at Florida Home Old friends of Mrs. William Coffitt will be saddened to learn of her health in Jacksonville, Florida early Sunday morning. Mrs. Coffitt had been ill with a heart ailment for several years, and had been in a hospital for four weeks previous to her death. Burial was at Jacksonville. Frances Runser, born November 17, 1882, was married to William Coffitt in Heron Lake in September 1904. They lived on a farm south of Fulda until their retirement, when they moved to Fulda. In 1950, they moved to Jacksonville to be near their daughters. Mr. Coffitt's death occurred May 16, 1955. They were the parents of three daughters: (Nellie) Mrs. Theron West, whose death occurred at Boyd in May, 1949; (Wilma) Mrs. Russell Turner of Jacksonville; and (Velma) Mrs. Charles McKenney, also of Jacksonville. Mrs. Coffitt had been a member of the Fulda R.N.A. Lodge for more than fifty years. Sincere sympathy goes to the members of Mrs. Coffitt's family." (This article is from a relative's scrapbook.
