FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: November 2004 ========================================================================= 1917 - Loretta Mildred Cohrs - 2004 Loretta Cohrs was born on January 16, 1917, at Beardsley, Minnesota to Michael and Mary Westermeier Mueller. She grew up in Beardsley and Pierz, Minnesota where she attended school. She worked at the bakery in Little Falls. On December 19, 1940, she and Fred Flor were married in Little Falls. They lived there until 1947, when they moved to Westbrook, Minnesota where they lived for many years. Loretta worked at the Westbrook Egg Plant. Fred died on April 24, 1973. Loretta continued living in Westbrook. Loretta married Daniel Cohrs on September 25, 1979. They made their home in Westbrook. Dan died on April 20, 2002. Loretta moved to Westside Apartments in Slayton in 2003. Loretta was a resident of Our House Hospice Home, in Slayton for six days before she passed away there on November 23, 2004, at the age of 87. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook, and belonged to the Westbrook VFW Auxiliary and bowling league. She enjoyed quilting, playing bingo, embroidering, bowling, fishing and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include six daughters, three sons and their spouses: Mildred and Ralph Peddycoart, Minneapolis, MN; Charles and Madora Flor, Brainerd, MN; Judy and Lance Parsley, Sioux City, IA; Jane Beckman, Worthington; Richard and Betty Flor, Maple Grove, MN; James and Linda Flor, Andover, MN; Debra and Gary Bruns, Garvin; Sandra and Tom Paulzine, Iona; and Carol and Henry Veldhuisen, Hadley; 33 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; three step children; 11 step grandchildren; 22 step great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; two sisters: Theresa DeRosier, Seattle, WA and Cecilia Gorman, Brainerd, MN; and a brother, Michael Mueller and his wife Betty, Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a daughter Barbara Flor; four sisters: Frances Virnig, Rose Hohiesel, Ann Parson, and Mary Kastler, and three brothers: Lawrence Miller (her twin), John Mueller and Carl Mueller. Funeral services were held at Grace Lutheran Church, Westbrook, MN on Monday, November 29, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Roy Williams officiating. The organist was Betty Rupp. Special music was by Tom Paulzine. Pallbearers were grandsons: Scott Peddycoart, Gary Bruns, Rick Goedderz, Bruce Beckman, Charles Paulzine and Ryan Veldhuisen. The other grandchildren were her honorary pallbearers. Interment is in Westbrook Cemetery, Westbroo, MN.
