FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: March 2005 ========================================================================= Larry Descombaz, 84, of North Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Worthington, Minnesota, died Sunday, February 20 at the Las Vegas Hospital. Larry was born October 1,1920, near Huron, S.D., the son of Alfred and Katherine Descombaz. He moved with his parents, sisters and brothers to a farm near Round Lake, MN in 1938. He farmed with his father for a few years and then worked as a sales clerk for Greens Clothing Store in Worthington, MN. In 1950, he married Beverly Henson of Worthington, MN. They then moved to Ottumwa, Iowa, where Larry worked for a large furniture store. Beverly and Larry were later divorced. He then married Julene of Bloomfield, Iowa. For many years they were managers of apartment complexes in Ames, IA, Phoenix, AZ, San Diego, CA, and Las Vegas, NV. They also took care of and managed a 400 plex storage unit and was a part-time real estate agent in Las Vegas. During World War II Larry served with the Army Engineers in Sitka and Skagway, Alaska. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. Surviving is his wife Julene and two stepchildren, also two children with his first wife; and one brother, Edwin (Johnny) Descombaz of Fulda, MN.
