Enninga Finke, was born April 30, 1934 near Fulda, MN. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school and graduated from Fulda High School in 1952. Shirley was united in marriage to Lloyd Dierks on November 29, 1953 at the Immanuel American Lutheran Church, rural Fulda, MN. After their marriage they made their home on a farm near Fulda. Shirley loved farming, enjoyed working at Interstate Power and raising their children. Shirley passed away at the Our House Hospice Home in Slayton, MN on September 28, 2004 at the age of 70. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Shirley enjoyed flowers, antiques and making crafts. Survivors include her husband Lloyd of Fulda; three children and their spouses, Randy and Denise Dierks of Fulda, MN, Pam and Allen Behr of Detroit Lakes, MN and Sandy and Barry Holinka of Fulda, MN; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers and their spouses, Lloyd and Elayne Finke of Slayton, MN and Dennis and Dayle Finke of Sioux Falls, SD; one sister, Bonita Lehman and her husband, Leon of Worthington, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were held at St. Paul;s Lutheran Church, Fulda, MN on Friday, October 1, 2004 at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Dwayne Schroeder officiating. The organist was Twyla Goedtke. The soloist was A.W. Koopman. The pallbearers were her grandsons, Matt Behr, Eric Behr, Joe Behr, Mickey Behr, Tony Holinka and Ted Dierks. Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters, Karli Holinka, Marti Holinka, Erin Dierks, Shontai Dierks, Angie Behr and great-grandaughter, Chalyn Dierks. Interment at Prairie Hill Cemetery, Fulda, MN.
