FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: November 2005 ========================================================================= 1944 - Eugene Henry Eder - 2005 Gene was born on July 23, 1944, in Stillwater, Minnesota to Earl and Cecilia Holtzmer Eder. He grew up in Stillwater and attended Stillwater Schools. In 1962, Gene enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corp and served in Viet Nam. After his discharge he returned to Stillwater and worked as a printer. He and Deanna Trepanier were married and they continued living in Stillwater. In 1974, they moved to Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Gene worked for Starline Printing. He and Deanna were divorced. On November 9, 1985, he and Carol Grunstad were married at Rio Rancho. In 1990, they moved to Loveland, Colorado where Gene worked at Quabecor Printing until January 2000, when he retired due to his health. In August 2004, they moved to Slayton. Gene passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2005, at the Murray County Hospital in Slayton at the age of 61. Gene enjoyed golfing, the Minnesota Vikings, traveling and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Carol, Slayton; seven children: Tabatha and Ben Raymond, Edgewood, NM; Shane and Lori Eder, Colorado Springs, CO; Holly and Jeff White, Taos, NM; Aaron and Jewell Alcott, Arvada, CO; John Eder, Johnstown, CO; Rozland Hoffman, Maplewood, MN and Chris Trepanier, Hugo, MN; 10 grandchildren; Andrew Alcott, Camron Alcott, Josie Eder, Dalton Eder, Samuel Raymond, Amanda Hoffman, Chris Hoffman, Shawn Hoffman, Rebecca Trepanier, and Nathan Trepanier; and three sisters, Dorothy Danielson and Rose and her husband Roger Haas all of Rio Rancho, NM and Marlene Belisle, Fredrick, WS. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim Eder. Funeral services were held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Currie, MN on Tuesday, November 8, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Andrew Olsem officiating. The organist was Patty LeClaire. The song leader was Gene Dold. The pallbearers were John Weis, Carl Lindberg, Brad Lindberg, Ken Bassett, Tom Pryor and Richard Eder. Interment is at Calvary Cemetery Currie, MN.
