She grew up in Belfast Twp., and attended rural school. On May 12, 1903 she was married in Fulda, Minn. to Alois A. Ella. Following their marriage they lived at Slayton, Minn. where Mr. Ella was a harness maker for many years. He passed away on April 29, 1952. Due to failing health Mrs. Ella was a resident of the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda, Minn. since June, 1970 and entered the Murray County Memorial Hospital, Slayton, Minn. on March 12, 1971 where she passed away on April 14, 1971 at the age of 88 years. She was a member of St. Ann's Church, Slayton, Minn. and Alter Society and was an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary and a Gold Star Mother. She is survived by three children: Leona, Mrs. Arthur Larson of Redwood Falls, Minn.; Vincent Ella of Minneapolis, Minn. and Anita, Mrs. Carl Heitschel of Waukegan, Ill. She had 11 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Brothers and sisters who survive are: Emil Ramert of Fulda, Minn; Jack Ramert of Fulda, Minn.; Fred Ramert of Ruthton, Minn.; Clarence Ramert of Fulda, Minn.; Mrs. Mary Appel of Fulda, Minn.; Gunda, Mrs. Harry Hough of Marshall, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 sons, and 1 grandson. Funeral services at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Slayton, Minn. on April 17, 1971 at 10:30 A.M., the Rev. Erardi, officiating. Pallbearers: Norman Knutson, Edwin Miller, John D. Weber, Charles Miller, James Schrantz, and Jack Kuhlman. Interment in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Slayton, Minn.
