Ella, 55, was Oct. 29 at St. Pius Catholic Church here. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mr. Ella died Oct. 23 at St. John's Hospital. Reginald Ella, the son of Henry "Heinie" H. and Frances Hebbelman Ella, was born at Slayton on March 4, 1931. He graduated from Slayton High School, he spent time as a custodian of the Rollerdrome at Valhalla for Win Peterson. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1954. On April 19, 1955, he married Mildred Thaler at Slayton. He went on to electronics school in Chicago, upon completion, they returned to Minnesota from Blue Mound, Ill., where they had lived and he accepted work as a technician at Minnesota Mining in St. Paul, where he had continued his work. They purchased a home in White Bear Lake, their current address. Mr. Ella is survived by his wife; two sons, Jeffrey Reginald, Colorado, Gregory Robert, stationed in South Carolina in the U.S. Army; one daughter, Andrea Leigh, at home; his mother, Frances Ella; a sister Patricia Farrell, both of Slayton; and a brother, Rodney, Worthington."
