FileFormatted by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: October 2004 ========================================================================= 1914-EDNA EVERS-2004 Edna Evers, age 90, of Rochester, formerly of Worthington, died Friday, August 6, 2004 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester. She was born April 12, 194, at Fulda, to Fran and Emma (Bergman) Abramson. Edna grew up on a farm northwest of Fulda and she graduated from Slayton High School. Edna was united in marriage to Fred Evers on February 16, 1939, in Jackson. During their marriage they farmed near Fulda and around Iona until they retired. After retiring they moved to Worthington in 1969. After Frank's death, Edna moved to Stewartville and then most recently resided in Rochester. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Worthington. Edna was an excellent homemaker. She enjoyed baking and sewing. Edna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Laisum Tang, Toronto, Canada; and two grandchildren, Janeen Tang, Toronto, Canada; and Jordan Tang, Toronto Canada. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Evers, who died October 30, 1977; four brothers, Carl, Herman, Art and Alfred Abramson; and five sisters, Helen Olson, Mabel Ames, Anne Carlson, Lillian Steffes and Minnie Ommen. Memorial service was held on Tuesday, August 10, at the Dingmann Funeral Chapel, in Worthington, officiated by Rev. Bill Blundell. Burial will be in the Worthington Garden of Memories Cemetery.
