The name and date of the paper are unknown.) "Mrs. Geo. Gravett Called Saturday - Mrs. George Gravett, resident of Lime Creek and Fulda communities for a third of a century, passed away at her home here on Saturday, October 3rd. Saying she was tired, she laid down for an afternoon nap, and when a member of the family went to awaken her about 7 o'clock, she had peacefully slept away. Helen Mary Fail was born at Minier, Illinois, on March 20, 1881 the daughter of John and Isabel Fail. On February 24, 1904, she was united in marriage with Geo. W. Gravett at Villisca, Iowa. They farmed in Iowa for several years and in March 1920 came to a farm near Fulda where they resided until 1944 when they moved to the residence a mile north of Lime Creek. Mr. Gravett died in January 1951, and Mrs. Gravett soon after moved to Fulda. Mrs. Gravett was the mother of seven children; Bernard of Fulda, Berleigh of Toledo, Oregon; Donald of Sioux Falls, Mrs. Walter Knorr (Cleo) of Lake Lillian, Mrs. Theo. Olson (Ester) of Fulda and Mrs. Wm. Knorr (Mary) of Fulda. One daughter, Mrs. Earl Knorr (Nancy) died several years ago. There are 19 grandchildren. Mrs. Gravett also leaves two brothers and two sisters, L.A. Fail of Canyon Creek, Montana, and Oscar Fail of Clarinda, Iowa; and Milda Fail of Fulda, and Mrs. Lewis Baker of Villisca, Iowa. Four brothers and a sister preceded her in death. Funeral services at 2 o'clock on Thursday afternoon at the Presbyterian church were conducted by the Rev. James Hart. The pallbearers were Perry Frey, Chris Oberloh, R.E. Coffitt, Ezra Revley, Walter Shea and Lawrence Fuchs."
