FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: April 2004 ========================================================================= Clarence Hager obituary - Fulda Free Press - "Clarence Joseph Hager was born January 17, 1915 in Lime Creek, MN, to Ferdinand and Emily Costello Hager.  He attended rural school and graduated from St. Gabriel's School in Fulda, MN in 1932.  On January 1, 1937 he was married to Louise Ramert in Fulda, MN.  Following their marriage they farmed near Fulda for 31 years, and on March 1, 1968 they moved to Minneapolis, MN.  He worked 7 years as custodian for St. Richard's School and Church and then worked at the Target Store.  In May, 1977, they returned to live at Fulda, MN.  He was a member of St. Gabriel's Church and Catholic Order of Foresters.  Due to failing health for the last eight months, he was hospitalized for nine weeks at the Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN, he then returned home, but was hospitalized for one day at Worthington Regional Hospital, Worthington, MN, where he died on May 19, 1978 at the age of 63 years.  He is survived by his wife, Louise, and five children:  Annette, Mrs. Kenneth Anderson, Minneapolis, MN; Judy, Mrs. Gene O'Neil of Minneapolis, MN; Carolyn, Mrs. Don Maher of White Bear Lake, MN; Mark of Mankato, MN; and Marlene, Mrs. Mark Henningsgaard of Eugene, OR.  He had 10 grandchildren.  Two sisters also survive, Mrs. Josephine Shea of Fulda, MN and Genevieve, Mrs. Donald Gravett of Sioux Falls, SD.  He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Anton and Clement. Funeral services were held at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Fulda, MN, May 22, 1978 at 10:30 am, Father Donald Olson, Pastor.  Soloist: Juanita ______, "How Great Thou Art."  Organist: Mrs. Mary Hogan.  Pallbearers:  Steven Gerhard, Robert Kuehl, Robert Shea, Leo Crowley, LeRoy Shea, and Vincent Gravett.  Interment was in St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Fulda, MN." NOTE:  The Fulda Free Press has a bound edition of this paper and the obituary was located near the binding.  This is the reason for not being able to see Juanita's last name.
