HOWEVER, THE FJ HAGER OBIT DID HAVE JUNE 30, 1949 HANDWRITTEN ON IT. Ferdinand Hager (F.J.) "F. J. Hager - Funeral services for F. J. Hager, one of the pioneer residents of this community, was held in St. Gabriel's Catholic Church last Wednesday morning, with the Rev. Father John Meyer singing the Requiem High Mass.  The pall bearers were grandsons and grandsons-in-law of the deceased, Walter, Eugene, and Robert Shea, Vincent Gravett, Paul Stumm, and Leo Crowley.  Mr. Hager is survived by his wife; by two daughters, Mrs. Walter Shea of Lime Creek, and Mrs. Donald Gravett of Sioux Falls; and by three sons, Anton and Clarence Hager of Lime Creek, and Leo (Clement) of Chicago.  There are 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  All the children, and all but one of the grandchildren, Marjorie Shea of Los Angeles, were her for the funeral services. Among the relatives who came from a distance were Leo Hager and Walter Shea Jr. of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gravett, Vincent, Lu-Jean and Gerald of Sioux Falls; Ed Costello of Garvin, William Shea of Brewster, Mrs. Theresa Winkler, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Winkler and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Haberman from Heron Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Page and Joe Sharp of Slayton; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Newell of Lake Benton, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Fiedler of Sleepy Eye, Mr. and Mrs. John Fiedler Sr. and daughter of Ruthton, and Henry Hinrichs of St. Paul.  Leo Hager and Walter Shea Jr. remained here until Saturday when they returned to Chicago."
