FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: ========================================================================= IN MEMORY 1907 Lillian Heintz 2004 Lillian Johanna Emma Heintz, the daughter of Herman and Ida Knigge Dierks was born October 7th 1907 on a farm and Graham Lakes Township, Nobles County, Minnesota. Lillian was baptized on October 27, 1907 and confirmed April 20, 1921 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She grew up on the family farm and attended St. Paul's Lutheran School in Fulda. Following school Lillian worked at home and also did housework for three families in the area. She was united and marriage to Herbert Heintz June 7, 1928 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fulda. Following their marriage they farm the Dierks family farm. The later moved to a farm near Kinbrae and farm there until a retired. In 1968 they moved to Fulda. On March 12, 1987 Herbert passed away. On January 17, 1997 Lillian became a resident of the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda and passed away there on April 19, 2004 at the age of 96. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fulda, MN, St. Paul's Ladies Aid and the Fulda Pink Ladies. Billion enjoy cooking and baking, her children and grandchildren especially enjoyed those wonderful cinnamon roll she made and her grandson and named them "grandma rolls". Lilly and enjoy crocheting, doing fancy work, and gardening. Survivors include her 10 children and their spouses, Alvin and Arlene Heintz of Fulda, MN, Rev. Norman and Cindy Heintz of Shelby, MI, Adelma and Rev. Mayo Mellecke of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, Dorothy and Mark Koschmann of Malvern, PA, Donald and Janis Heintz of Kinbrae, MN, Rev Luther and Lois Heintz of Coronach, Saskatchewan, Canada, Rev. Roger and Jan Heintz of Brookfield, WI, Marilyn and Roger Zellman of Young America, MN, Esther and David Schlicker of Cologne, MN, and Lorraine and John Ittel of Young America, MN, 39 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert, three sisters, Lenora Tolzin, Mildred Gunderman, Gertrude Gehl, three brothers, Harold, Ervin and Clarence Dierks, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fulda, MN 3:30 p.m. on April 24, 2004 with the Rev. Dwayne Schroeder officiating. The organist is Linda Smith. The soloist is Mayo Mellecke. The pallbearers are Kurt Heintz, Matthew Heintz, Peter Heintz, Tim Heintz, Jonathan Mellecke and Paul Mellecke. Interment at Prairie Hill Cemetery, Fulda, MN. The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisting the family with arrangements.
