The name and date of the paper are unknown. However, an handwritten date of 1952 is on the article.) "Chas. Holinka Funeral Held On Monday - Funeral services for Charles A. Holinka were held at St. Gabriel's Catholic church on Monday morning with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Meyer celebrating the Requiem High Mass. The pall bearers were Louis Schwab, Leonard Nemmers, Tom Murphy, Emil Ramert, Paul Hogan and August Illg, and interment was in St. Gabriel cemetery. Charles Holinka was born in Belfast township on September 17, 1898, the son of Anna Holinka and the late F.A. Holinka. He spent most of his life on the parental farm and his own farm, and only in the last year or two did he give up farming and move to the new home he built on the east outskirts of Fulda. But his heart remained with the land and his sudden and unexpected death occurred on the Reith farm northwest of town where he was helping with some tiling. Death came quickly and quietly in mid afternoon on Thursday, April 24. He had been visiting with his fellow workers, and a moment later was gone. Charles Holinka and Miss Margaret Wisdorf were united in marriage in St. Gabriel's church in Fulda on November 22, 1921. They were the parents of eights children, three sons and five daughters, who, with the mother, remain to mourn his loss. The children are Jack and Robert Holinka, at home, and Bul 3C Charles Holinka of the navy, and Mrs. Ralph Bonnell (Marjorie) or Heron Lake, Mrs. Leo Hogan (Agnes) of Fulda, Mrs. Lawrence Gengler (Betty) of Slayton, Miss Darlene Holinka of Minneapolis, and Miss Donna Holinka at home. Mr. Holinka is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Anna Holinka, of Fulda; by a sister, Mrs. J.E. Murphy (Rosa) of Avoca, and by two brothers, Frank Holinka of Windom, and Joe Holinka of Valley Ford, Wash. There are eight grandchildren. Among the relatives who came from a distance to attend the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holinka and Raymond of Windom, Mr. and Mrs. James Lewis of Rockford, Ill; Staff Sgt. Damon Holinka of Camp McCoy, Wis; CD 3C Francis Murphy of Norman, Okla; Stg. Joseph Murphy of Tucson, Ariz; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kirchner of St. Peter; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kuehl and Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Keil of Minneapolis; Mrs. Lloyd Golda of Jordon, Frank Wisdorf of Montgomery, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wisdorf of Argusville, N.D.; and Tony Wisdorf and daughter Antoinette of Sherburn, Mrs. Russel Crawford and daughter of Grand Forks, N.D.; Mrs. Emery Hollameck of St. Hilaire, and Mrs. Alois Schafer and Mrs. Robert Odenbrett of Worthington. A large number of friends and relatives from nearby communities also attended."
