John was born to Nels and Jenny Jorgensen on a farm near Fulda, Minnesota. He attended school in Fulda and graduated from high school here. He attended a School of Business in Minneapolis and then joined the Ford Agency here in Fulda for several years. After that, he joined the Ford Agency in Worthington where he worked for 40 years. He served in the Army during WWII, overseas in India and Burma, sending supplies to to China over the Ledo road. He returned home and late 1945 as a Master Sergeant and was discharged. He was a longtime member of the American Legion. John was married to Lorraine Yates of Worthington. After retirement they lived in Mesa, Arizona. after his wife passed away, he moved in Rockford be near his son and family. He is survived by his son, Marty and his wife Jo, four grandchildren and sister, Hazel Ludwig, of Fredrick, Maryland. The Private funeral services were held in Rockford. Burial be later this spring here.
