FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: February 2006 ========================================================================= Murray County, MN Edwin William Lundeen, the son of Fred and Emma Malenke Lundeen was born August 17, 1916 in Graham Lakes Township, Nobles County, MN. He grew up and attended country school in Seward Township, Nobles Co., MN. Eddie was united in marriage to Adella Gunderman on February 12, 1939 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fulda, MN. They lived and farmed south of Fulda in Seward Township, Nobles Co., MN. They continued farming until 1978 when they retired and moved into Fulda. Adella passed away in January of 1988. Eddie continued living at home until he entered the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in March of 2002. Eddie passed away at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda on January 20, 2006 at the age of 89. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where he served as a Member of the St. Paul's Lutheran School Board for 8 years, was president of the church board and an Elder for 3 years. Eddie served as a board member for the Co-op Elevator for 25 years, for A.S.C. for 8 years, was a member of the Hereford Association for 10 years, a 4-H Leader for 12 years and a member of the Fulda Lion's Club. In 1955 Eddie was Nobles County Father of the Year. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with family and friends and loved a good laugh. Survivors include his five children and their spouses, Rodney and Sherri Lundeen of Fulda, MN, Renee and Leonard Nott of Walnut Grove, MN, Barbara and Ray Schuster of Sibley, IA, Nona and Kim Magnussen of Garvin, MN and Mary and Steve Magnus of Fulda, MN; 13 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 8 step great-grandchildren and one sister, Clara Staubus and her husband, Dayton. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and two sisters, Verna Lange and Gladys Solem. Funeral services were at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Fulda, MN at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 24, 2005 with the Rev. Dwayne Schroeder officiating. The organist was Irene Wahl. The pallbearers were his grandsons, Mike Schuster, Todd Schuster, Tim Schenk, Kurt Schenk, Terry Schenk, Kris Nott, Chad Magnussen and Jed Lundeen. Honorary pallbearers were his granddaughters, Brenda Kruger, Tammy Hollingsworth, Meg Lundeen, Cari Nelson and Candi Wood.
