FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: January 2005 ========================================================================= 1907-MOLLIE MAGNUS-2005 Mollie Etta Magnus, the daughter of Henry and Ivy Sellmen Lamaack was born on September 2, 1907 near Westbrook, MN. She grew up in the rural Avoca, MN and Westbrook areas, where she attended country school. Mollie was united in marriage to Adolph Magnus in Slayton, MN on December 31, 1927. After their marriage they lived on a farm near Avoca where they raised their six children. In 1954 they moved into Fulda, MN where she continued to live after her husbands death in January 1960. Mollie entered the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in September of 2004 and passed away there on January 11, 2005 at the age of 97. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fulda and the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. Mollie enjoyed doing needlework and spending time with her family. Survivors include her six children and their spouses, Henry and Marlene Magnus of Fulda, MN, Arlene Suedbeck of Waukeshia, WI, Carol and Russell Eacker of Colorado Springs, CO, Donald and Darlene Magnus of Plano, TX, Fern and Dean Strandskov of Tucson, AZ and Elaine and William Sandefur of Remer, MN; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and two sisters, Edna Mielke of Mankato, MN and Viola Bartz of Albert Lea, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Albert and Roy Lamaack and one sister, Pansy Gillenwater. Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian Church Fulda, MN at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 14, 2005 with the Rev. Michael Foster officiating. The organist was Mary Jean Buschena. Special music by Norma Meyeraan. The pallbearers were her grandchildren. Interment at Prairie Hill Cemetery, Fulda, MN.
