He attended District # 4 Country School and St. Paul?s Lutheran School. On March 30, 1932 he and Alma Ruesch were married at Immanuel American Lutheran Church in rural Fulda, MN. Following their marriage they farmed in Elk Twp., near Reading until 1940. They moved to a farm in Bondin Twp., near Fulda. In 1969 they moved into Fulda. Alma died on December 29, 2001. Vic became a resident of Maple Lawn Nursing Home in October 2003 and passed away there on June 11, 2004 at the age of 95. He was a member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church where he served on the Building Committee and belonged to the Men?s Club. Vic belonged to the Fulda Lion?s Club and served on the Fulda Coop Oil Board for 15 years. He joined the Senior Citizens in 1969 and served on the board, worked to get meal site in Fulda in the late 70?s. He served for four years on the Southwest area for the Aging, delivered meals on wheels of many years, and served Project Council Board for several years. Vic enjoyed stamp and coin collecting and playing pinochle. Survivors include his two daughters, two sons and their spouses: Shirley and Ken Barnes of Vancouver, WA, Audrey and Ted Brush of Sioux Falls, SD, Dennis and Ann Miller of Rosemount, MN and Wayne and Kim Miller of Moundsview, MN; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Gunderman and brother Roland Miller both of Fulda. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Alma, and brothers, Lester, Lloyd, Raymond and Leland Miller. Funeral services at St. Paul?s Lutheran Church in Fulda, MN on Wednesday June 16, 2004 at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Dwayne Schroeder officiating. The organist is Irene Wahl. The soloist is A. W. Koopman The pallbearers are Joyce and Jerry Wermerson, John and Sandy Melton and Gary and Peggy Schuur.
