He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Dovray and attended Public School southwest of Dovray and High School in Westbrook. Lyle's hobbies included fishing, hunting, playing cards with friends and watching sports on TV. Lyle passed away due to a severe car accident on September 28, 2004 at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at the age of 59 years. He is survived by three brothers, Everett (Jane) Olson, Sheboygan, Wisconsin; Alfred (Dixie) Olson, Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Robert Olson, Avoca as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother (Myron); one sister Marlene and uncles and aunts. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 2, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Dovray, MN. Burial in the church cemetery. Westbrook Funeral Home in Charge of arrangements
