Peterson Dies At Mountain Lake Hospital; Ill But Few Hours Death struck with stunning suddenness Saturday evening when Albert P. Peterson, well known farmer of the Dundee rural community, answered the summons at the Mountain Lake hospital, which he had entered but a few hours previously for medical care. Saturday forenoon Mr. Peterson was suddenly overcome by severe pains in his abdomen and at noon the oldest daughter, Virginia, took him to Mountain Lake to consult a doctor. He lived but a few hours longer and passed away at 8:30 that evening at the age of 54 years, 5 months and 26 days. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the family home at 1:30 following by a longer service at the First Lutheran church of Dundee, with Rev. A. M. Youngquist, pastor of the deceased officiating. The choir of the church sang "Your Father Knows," "Abide With Me," and "We Shall Sleep, But Not Forever." Interment was made in the First Lutheran cemetery. The Dundee church was far too small to accommodate the large number of friends and relatives who assembled to pay their respects to this highly respected man of the community. Albert Peter Peterson, son of Andrew and Thurine Peterson, early pioneers of Belfast township, was born on May 9, 1885, on a farm near Dundee. On December 8 of the same year he was received into the Lutheran church at Dundee by the sacrament of baptism, Rev. S. C. Franzen officiating. In the same church he was confirmed on July 2, 1915, by Rev. L. J. Fihn. His church membership continued unbroken from then until his death. Practically his entire life was spent in the vicinity of Dundee. On November 29, 1919, he was united in marriage to Miss Hattie Elfriede Wahl. Their union was blessed with three children, namely: Virginia, Lois, and Carol who, with their mother, survive him. He is also survived by two brothers, Oscar and Walter Peterson, of Dundee, and one sister, Mrs. Peder Hochbaum, of Rosehill township. (This article was obtained from a relatives scrapbook.
