"Frank Ramert Rites Held Here On Wednesday - Funeral services were held in St.
Gabriel's Catholic church Wednesday morning for Frank Ramert of Lime Creek,
whose death from heart failure and lung congestion occurred early Sunday
morning.  The Rev. Thomas Duane officiated at the Requiem High Mass.  Casket
bearers were Frank Kuehl, Herman Haberman, Henry Stumm, Walter Jens, Chris
Oberloh and Anton Heger.  Burial was in St. Gabriel's cemetery.
  Frank William Ramert, son of Frank and Josephine Ramert, was born in Belfast
Township of Murray County, Minnesota on March 20, 1884.  He grew to manhood on
the farm home which is now owned by Emil Ramert, and attended the local schools.
  He was married to Louis Folkmann on November 6, 1912 in St. Gabriel's Church. 
They lived on his father's farm for seven years, then purchased their own farm,
where they erected buildings, and made their home until 1951.  After their
retirement, they have lived in Lime Creek.
  To Mr. and Mrs. Ramert were born three daughters:  Mrs. Clarence Hager (Louise),
Mrs. L.C. Gerhard (Rita), and Mrs. Don Kuehl (Wilma).  There are now fourteen
grand-children and one great grandchild.  These, with Mrs. Ramert, are left to
mourn the death of a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather.
  Surviving also are six brothers:  Fritz of Ruthton, Emmanuel of Currie, and
Emil, John, Clarence and William of Fulda; and four sisters:  Mrs. Ed Appel,
Mrs. Frank Haberman of Fulda, Mrs. Ida Ella of Slayton, and Mrs. Harry Hough of
Marshall.
  Preceding him in death were his parents, and one sister, Mrs. John Puhl.
  Mr. Ramert was a kind, friendly neighbor, interested in all those about him.  He
was forced to retire because of arthritis, but he has kept up his interest in
farming, and in his neighborhood.  For the past year, those who knew him have
missed him taking his early morning walk to the Post Office.  A serious heart
condition and lung congestion had forced him to be inactive.
  Mr. Ramert was a lifelong member of St. Gabriel's Church, and, during his active
years, was a member of the Knights of Columbus.  He enjoyed company, for
visiting and for playing card games.  He was most happy when his family or his
neighbors were with him for a pleasant afternoon or evening."
