FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: April 2004 ========================================================================= Louise Ramert's obituary - "Louise Ramert was born December 18, 1891 in Eichorn, Austria to Victor and Theresa Volkmann.  She grew up in Austria and received her education there.  After she finished school, Louise worked for a general store for five years then in 1910 she moved to Fulda where her step-father had settled a few years before and worked as a carpenter.  On November 6, 1912 she and Frank W. Ramert were united in marriage at St. Gabriel's Church in Fulda.  Together they farmed on the Ramert homestead in Belfast Twsp. Murray Co. near Fulda.  They retired from farming in 1951 and moved to Lime Creek where they made their home for many years.  Frank passed away on September 10, 1961.  Louise continued living in Lime Creek and in 1977 her daughter Louise, and her husband, Pat came to live with her.  Due to failing health, Louise was a resident of Lakeview Nursing Home at Heron Lake for 2 1/2 months then on April 11, 1983 moved to Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda and she passed away there on May 23, 1983 at the age of 91.  Louise was a member of St. Gabriel's parish at Fulda for most of her life and belonged to the Ladies Aid for many years and was presently an honorary member.  Louise also belonged to the Altar Society for many years.  In her spare time, Louise enjoyed gardening, music and especially helping her many friends and neighbors. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Louise Hager of Fulda, Mn., Rita, Mrs. L.C. Gerhard of Fulda, Mn., and Wilma, Mrs. Don Kuehl of Fulda, Mn.  Louise was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.           FUNERAL SERVICES Thursday, May 26, 1983 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church, Fulda, Mn. with Fr. Don Loosbrock, Pastor, officiating.  The organist is Mary Hogan.  The soloist is Jerry Zins.  The pallbearers are all grandsons and great grandsons, Stephen O'Neil, Todd Kramer, Steven Gerhard, Bill Gerhard, Mark Hager and Bob Kuehl.  Interment at St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Fulda, Mn.  Funeral arrangements by Hustad Funeral Home, Fulda, Mn."
