FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: February 2006 ========================================================================= Murray Cnty - MN Larry Michael Ruppert was born on February 24, 1949, at Tyler, Minnesota to Clifford and Donna Larsen Ruppert. Larry grew up on the family farm near Garvin and attended St. Mary's School in Tracy and graduated from IHM School in Currie, Minnesota in 1967. Larry enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Korea. Following his discharge, he returned to the Currie area and attended Jackson Technical College for plumbing. He and his father operated Ruppert Plumbing and Heating. On August 17, 1974, he and Lucille Deslauriers were married at IHM Church in Currie and later were divorced. Larry took over the plumbing business from his father. Because of failing health, Larry retired and lived in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He moved back to Currie and has lived in St. Cloud for the past few years. Larry passed away on February 10, 2006, at the Veteran's Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 56. He was a member of IHM Church and the Currie Legion. Larry enjoyed gardening, hunting, golfing, playing cards, and he loved the outdoors. Survivors include his two daughters: Lisa Ruppert and Tammy Ruppert both of Marshall, MN; five grandchildren: Caleb, Craig and Jazmyne, and Dylan and Mackenzie; his parents Clifford and Donna Ruppert, Currie, MN; three brothers and their wives: Jerome and Vicky Ruppert, Eau Claire, WI; Brad and Marge Ruppert, Eau Claire, WI; John and Anita Ruppert, Currie, MN; and a sister, Mary McCollar, Currie, MN. He was preceded in death by one brother Eugene Ruppert. Funeral services were held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Currie, MN on Monday, February 13, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Robert Horihan officiating. The organist was Patty LeClaire. The song leader was Loann Hansen. The pallbearers were Jeff Zens, Denny Johnson, Keith Dumos, Tom Ruppert, Cleo Hames and Jason Ruppert.
