1959 - Alan Soderholm - 2005 



Alan Lee Soderholm was born July 16, 1959, in Worthington, Minnesota to 

Leland and Opal Syverson Soderholm. He grew up in Slayton and graduated 

from Slayton High School. He attended Jackson VoTech, where he studied 

construction. Following his education, he was employed at Ag-Chem in Jackson, 

Minnesota. He married Monette Hage, August 8, 1981, in Slayton, Minnesota. 

Following his marriage, the couple resided in Lakefield, Minnesota.

He began over-the-road trucking and hauled for various trucking firms, 

including Monson and Sons of Lakefield. He later became an owner-operator 

and was currently leased to Ellness Livestock, Lakefield. H was a member 

of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lakefield. He had served on the school board 

and as a Sunday School. Alan died near Lake Crystal, MN on Tuesday,

September 27, 2005, at the age of 46. 



Surviving are his wife; two sons, Jayd Soderholm, Lakefield, MN and Jacob 

Soderholm, Lakefield, MN; two daughters: Jamie (Kayle) Koep, Lakefield. 

MN and Jacey Soderholm, Sioux Falls, SD; his parents, Slayton; one brother, 

Kurt (Kathy) Soderholm, New Ulm, MN; three sisters: Gail (Jim) Tucker, 

Tucson, AZ; Marcia Soderholm, Winner, SD; and Lynette Soderholm, Slayton, 

MN; and two granddaughters. 



Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 1, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. 

at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lakefield with Rev. Jonathan Nack officiating. 

Burial is in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Lakefield,MN. Hansen Funeral 

Home, Lakefield in charge of arrangements.
