FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: November 2005 ========================================================================= Craig Lee Spinler, age 51, of Austin, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, at Methodist Hospital, Rochester, after a nine year courageous battle with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. He was born July 21, 1954, at Parks Air Force Base, Pleasanton, Calif., to Richard and Marlys (Johnson) Spinler. He graduated from Austin High School in 1972 and from St. Cloud State University and returned to Austin to begin his employment with the Home Federal Savings Bank. He work in the Austin and Spring Valley offices and become the Vice President of Operations at the Rochester headquarters of Home Federal. He was married to Susan Kay Schmidt on Aug. 21, 1982, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. He was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and he enjoyed golf, bowling, hunting, fishing and playing softball and broomball. He is survived by his wife, Susan Spinler, Austin, Minn.; son, Kyle Spinler, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minn.; parents: Richard and Marlys Spinler, Austin, Minn.; sisters: Kerry (Ray) Kennemer, Dumas, Texas; Kara Spinler (Scott) Malo, Apple Valley, Minn.; mother-in-law, Mickey Schmidt, Iona, Minn.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Deborah and Rick Ramert, Marshall, Minn.; Rick and Jodi Schmidt, Mankato, Minn.; Brian Schmidt and Becky Deuel, Truman, Minn.; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, at 12 p.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Beckstrom officiating. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Visitation will be held at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Friday from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday at the church for one hour before the service.
