She was the daughter of Arlyn and Elinor Carlson Bentson and the late Robert C. Johnson. She grew up in rural Lake Wilson and graduated from Chandler- Lake Wilson High School in 1973. In 1975, Jane graduated from Pipestone Vo-Tech. On May 15, 1976, she and Rex Streff were married at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at Lake Wilson. Following their marriage they farmed northwest of Hadley and raised their two children. Jane worked at UPS for 24 years. She and Rex also raised dogs for 20 years and for the past few years specialized in Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Yorkshire Terriers. Jane passed away at her home on November 4, 2005, at the age of 50. She was a lifetime member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson where she belonged to WELCA, and was a former Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent. She was a 4-H leader, a member of Slayton Women of Today, and was a founding member of the Hadley Community Center. She enjoyed her family, friends, raising dogs and crafts. She is survived by her husband Rex Streff, Hadley; daughter Heidi Streff, Woodbury, MN and son Ryan Streff, Mankato, MN; her parents Elinor and Arlyn Bentson, Lake Wilson; two sisters, a brother and their spouses: Susan and Roger Oliver, Lakewood, WA; Joyce and Tom Bohn Jr., Brewster, MN; Mark and Kelly Johnson, Aurora, SD; and a host of well-loved family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Robert C. Johnson; her grandparents; and mother-in-law Darlene Streff. Funeral services at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson, MN on Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Jon Skaar officiating. The organist was Darlene Bose. The pallbearers are Kent Carlson, Kory Nadeau, Eric Carlson, Shane Roy, Corey Taffe and Jordon Ennenga. The honorary pallbearers were Brent Oliver, Troy Taffe, Taylor Streff, Kurt Nadeau, Dan Carlson, Zachary Streff and Klint Nedeau.
