Melba was born October 10, 1931 to George and Esther Coffitt. She grew up on the Brewster and Fulda area. Melba devoted many years to her love of cats by raising and breeding show Persians. She also enjoyed her work with Coldwell Banker as a Realtor. Melba was passionate about reading, politics, sports, especially the Vikings, and her family. Melba was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Michael and Marc Sugg. She is survived by one son, Craig Sugg, and daughter, Julie Fassler (Chris), LaCrosse, Wisconsin; daughter-in-law, Connie Kerr, Lakeville, MN; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn Brown (Ralph), Fulda.
