Larry Leo Summerfield, the son of and Adoulph and Alice Vehlow Summerfield, 

was born on June 9, 1937 in Mazeppa, Minnesota. The family later moved to 

a farm near Worthington, Minnesota. Larry grew up on the family farm and 

attended country school. After a fire burned down the family home they 

moved to Ocheydan, IA. At the age of 17 Larry moved back to Worthington 

and lived with his uncle and aunt. In the 80?s Larry moved to Trent, SD 

and farmed there for 5 years. He then moved back to the home place in 

Worthington. Larry passed away unexpectedly at his home on



September 19, 2005 at the age of 68. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church 

in Brewster, MN. Larry enjoyed looking at old tractors and working in the 

field. He also liked going to fairs and farm shows 



Survivors include one brother, Elmer Summerfield of Worthington, MN. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, aunts and uncles.



Funeral Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brewster, MN on 

Friday September 23, 2005 at 10:30 AM with the Rev. David McDonald 

officiating. The organist is Vonnie Rutgers. The pallbearers are Dale 

Teerink, Justin Spillman, James Fogelman, Mike Kunerth, Brian Kunze. 

Robert Dittman, and Henry Dittman. Interment is at Prairie Hill Cemetery, 

Fulda, MN.



Dateline Worthington: Visitation will be on Thu. Sept. 22, 2005 at the 

Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda and one hour prior to the service at the 

church on Fri.
