  Wallace "Wally" M. Verdugt, the son of Joe and Frieda Moeller Verdugt, was 

born on June 8, 1930 in St. Lawrence, South Dakota. He grew up in the St. 

Lawrence area and attended school and graduated from the St, Lawrence High 

School. Wally was united in marriage to VaLonne Beckman on October 21, 1974 

in Fulda, MN. After their marriage they lived in Fulda then moved to Wall, 

SD and later returned to Minnesota. In 1995 they moved to Fulda where they 

remained. They wintered in Arizona for many years. Wally passed away on 

January 5, 2007 at the Bannaer Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, AZ at the 

age of 76. He was a member of the Immanuel American Lutheran Church. He 

enjoyed golfing, playing cards, sports and spending time with his family.

  Survivors include his wife VaLonne of Fulda, MN; five children, Deanna 

Verdugt of Sturgis, SD, Steve Verdugt of Gilbert. AZ, Mark Bultmann of N. 

St. Paul, MN, Brian Bultmann of Fulda, MN and Bruce Bultmann of Fargo, ND; 

six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one brother Willard Verdugt 

and his wife, Joyce of Melbourne, FL. He is preceded in death by his 

parents and one granddaughter, Kristin Bultmann.

  Funeral services were held atImmanuel American Lutheran Church, rural 

Fulda, MN at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 11, 2007 with the Rev. Kristi 

Mitchell officiating. The organist was Marlene Sievers. The soloist was 

Lloyd Winter. The pallbearers were Shane Evers, Tom Mitchell, Brett Evers, 

Greg Ommen and Keith Evers. Burial at the Immanuel American Lutheran 

Cemetery rural Fulda, MN.
