FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: May 2007 ========================================================================= LEONARD HENRY WENDORFF, 90, of Fulda, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home, Fulda. Born Oct. 24, 1916, in Arco, he was the son of Edward and Emma Nottleman Wendorff. He married Evelyn Moja. They later divorced. He married Dorothy Stark Aug. 27, 1977, in Worthington. She died in October 2006. He grew up in the Marshall area and attended country school. In May 1942, he entered the U.S. Army and served during World War II until his honorable discharge in December 1945. Following his first marriage, the couple farmed near Dundee. Following his second marriage, the couple continued to farm near Dundee for two years until his retirement in 1979. They then moved to Fulda. He became a resident of Maple Lawn Nursing Home in December 2006. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He belonged to the American Legion for 60 years. Surviving are three children, Rick (Lenore) Wendorff, Fulda, Ron (Ann) Wendorff, Windom, and Robin (David) Stoyke, Worthington; one stepdaughter, Deborah McKernan, Minneapolis; one sister, Elaine Kronke, Marshall; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fulda, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fulda. The service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fulda, with the Rev. Wayne Krohe officiating. Burial, with full military rites by the Fulda American Legion Post 318 and the VFW Post 9017, will be in Worthington Memorial Gardens.
