He grew up in Slayton and attended school at West Elementary and graduated from the Slayton High School in 1978. While in high school, Mark worked at Hi Way Grocery in Slayton, Minnesota. On June 21, 1981, he and Pamela Guild were married at Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton. Following their marriage they made their home in Slayton and Mark worked at Nordin's Super Valu. Mark later worked as a salesman for the Worthington Veterinary Medical Center in Worthington, Minnesota. Mark enjoyed his time working with the local farmers and their livestock. Mark and his father-in-law, Arnie and son, Luke had a hobby farm raising hogs and cattle for a time. Mark passed away on September 10, 2006, at Our House Hospice Home in Slayton, Minnesota at the age of 46. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton where he served on the Property and Management Committee. Mark was a retired member of the Slayton Fire Department and presently a councilman for the City of Slayton. Mark enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, doing lawn care with his children, spending time with his family and friends and cooking. He also enjoyed spending time with Barney and Tatum the family dogs. Everyone enjoyed Mark's sense of humor and his strong will. Survivors include his wife Pamela Woitaszewski, Slayton, MN; three children: Luke and his wife Kelli Woitaszewski, Lake Wilson, MN; Kaitlyn Woitaszewski and Jed Woitaszewski both at home; two grandsons: Gavin and Jacob Woitaszewski; his mother Cornelia Woitaszewski, Slayton, MN; two brothers and their spouses: Allan and Nancy Woitaszewski, Worthington, MN; and Gary and Sharon Woitaszewski, Slayton, MN; and several nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Woitaszewski and his grandparents. Funeral services are at Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton, MN on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ted Kunze officiating. The organist is Twyla Hungerford. The soloist is Heidi Winter. The pallbearers are Kent Lorang, Mark Lorang, Randy Groves, John Swart, Roger Opdahl, Jerry Brake, Scott Woitaszewski and Scott Kleve. Honorary pallbearers are the Slayton Fire Department. Interment at Slayton Memorial Gardens, Slayton, MN. Visitation one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday.
