Zwirner, age 84, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico and formerly of Colorado Springs from 1965 to 1998, and formerly of Texas and Germany, passed away on May 22, 2005 in Albuquerque. She was a homemaker, an Army wife and an Elementary School Secretary for over 20 years. Ardith Mary Fiedler was born on August 3, 1920 in Fulda, Minnesota to Joseph John and Dora Jeanette (Tierney) Fiedler. She graduated from Fulda High School, attended business school in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and married Arthur P. Zwirner, Jr. on May 5, 1945 in Parris Island, South Carolina. Mrs. Zwirner was a member of the Peterson Air Force Base Catholic Parish and Divine Redeemer Catholic Church. She is survived by two sons, John (wife Andrea) Zwirner of Elk River, Minnesota and Tom (wife Sue) Zwirner of Albuquerque. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Thad (wife Stacey) Zwirner, Karla (husband Tom) Zerwas, and Brian (wife Shelly) Zwirner and 6 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major Arthur P. Zwirner, Jr., United States Army, Retired on September 19, 1998. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2005 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses in Colorado Springs, CO. Inurnment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Old Glory Columbarium.
