Obituary, LeSueur News, November 5, 1958



James Hughes was born in Lake Prairie township on November 27, 1882, the 

son of Mary and Thomas Hughes. He was crippled since he was 16 years of 

age and lived in Le Sueur with his sister, Katherine for many years. He 

was taken to the Alice Haney rest home in Lester Prairie about three and 

one-half years ago. He passed away on Monday, November 3.



Survivors are four sisters, Margaret Louden of Cavalier, N.D., Bea Rice, 

and Rose Kiley of Minneapolis and Katherine of Le Sueur. He was preceded 

in death by his parents; two brothers, George and Jay and one sister, 

Elizabeth Hughes.



Services were held this morning (Wednesday) at 9:30 at the St. Anne's 

church, with interment at Calvary in St. Peter.
