Made Available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Vivian Christensen Original document provided by: Dave Schmit Obituary for John Christ Betzing Abstracted from unknown paper Died: February 18, 1959, St. Peter, Minnesota Born: March 21, 1872, Meigs Co., Ohio Spouse: Jennie Mae Buck Married: January 31, 1900 Occupation: Farmer, in Tipton and McIntire, Iowa and St. Peter, Minnesota Survived by: Son, Eldo Betzing of Polson, Montana, two granddaughters, Betty Telow (correct spelling--Taelour) and Mary Louise Medigar; three grandsons, James, Gerald and Ralph Betzing. Preceded in death by his wife (died February 12, 1959) and his son, Ralph. Cause of death: complications due to old age. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Presbyterian church with Rev. Gayle Miller officiating. Mrs. Clayton Davis, accompanied by Alice Baver, sang "My Faith Looks Up to Thee". Burial at Green Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were: Clarence Jackson, Walter Moss, Oscar Johnson, George Martens, Henry Hilmer and Everett Carlson.
