FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Linda Miller Submitted: April 2006 ========================================================================= THOMAS MALLAY (aka MOLLOY) SEPTEMBER 14, 1838-JULY 13, 1927 LAKE PRAIRIE MAN DIED AT HUTCHINSON JULY 13 from one of the St. Peter papers Thomas Malloy of Hutchinson, a former resident of Nicollet county and one of the pioneer settlers of the Lake Prairie community passed away at his home in Hutchinson on Wednesday, July 13, at the age of 88 years. Deceased was a brother of the late Thomas Hughes of Lake Prairie. He was born in Kilkenny county, Ireland, in 1838, and in 1872 was united in marriage to Miss Kathryn McGraw at the Middle Lake Church. Both were residents of Nicollet County for some time before moving to McLeod county, where they have since made their home. Mrs. Hughes, with six children, survive. Funeral services were held on Saturday from the Catholic church in Hutchinson following which interment was made at Stewart. Those from a distance to attend the last rites were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed. McGraw of this city; Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Hughes of Marshalltown, Iowa; Kathryn and Jay Hughes of LeSueur, Mrs. T. T.
