Death was due to old age. Mr Ritz formerly resided on his farm in Granby until a few years ago he retired from farm life and made his home in St Peter. He was born in Germany and came to America early in life. He was one of the hardy working sturdy pioneers who sought Minnesota when it was a wilderness. He was a citizen highly respected by his neighbors; a family of grown children aurvive him, Joseph of Granby, Andrew of St Paul, John of Minneapolis, Mary of Montana, Mrs Anna Pusch of St James, Mrs Theresa Rolf, Colorado, Mrs Francis Eckel of Council Bluffs, Iowa. The funeral was held Wednesday from the Middle Lake Catholic church, Rev Fr Smalian officiating. May he rest in peace.
