Okenfuss dated May 8, 2000.) Philip Arens 1902-1934 On July 4, 1999 our whole family visited the Matt Arens Farm 4.5 miles south of Wilmont. While there, Don Ramberg invited his Mom and Dad (Johnny Ramberg and Phillys Elsing) over. Phillys told an interesting story about Phillip Arens; after breaking up with a girl friend he drove to the Worthington Lake, laid his clothes on the bank and disappeared. He faked this death. The lake was dragged, but no body was found. Days latter the Elsings (the Arens' didn't have a phone) got a phone call from Phillip in Sioux City, Iowa; he was still alive. He asked if they thought it would be OK for him to come home; he did.
